			The Universal Directory of Great Britain - 1791 Product No. GB1134 Five huge volumes comprising the earliest directory for Great Britain, and one which is probably the most important directory for genealogists and historians that we have released on CD. 			White's History Gazetteer & Directory of Staffordshire 1834 Product No. GB0632 Typical of the White's directories this is a comprehensive (and very large) with excellent descriptions of each place in the county, its facilities in 1834 and its history. When the Staffordshire directories were offered on loan to the Archive CD Books Project from the Sandwell Record Office, this was the one that was the "must have it" book. 			Kelly's Directory of Staffordshire 1880 Product No. GB0641 A fabulously comprehensive directory of the county of Staffordshire. Each town, village and hamlet is described in great detail, with information about the schools, churches and hospitals etc in each place. Each place has a commercial directory, which lists people and their occupations, and the vast majority also have a list of private residents with their addresses. There is also a Court Directory (50 pages) with an alphabetical list of the names and addresses of private residents plus a Trades Directory (550 pages) with lists of occupations, not just 'professional' people but farmers, shopkeepers, painters and bricklayers as well.
