Payment may be made in Canadian dollars only and payment is due at the time the order is placed. You may pay by VISA® or MasterCard® credit cards, by bankers draft or by cheque made payable to "Archive CD Books Canada Inc.". If you pay by cheque we reserve the right to hold up shipment of your order until the cheque has cleared our bank.
We only accept orders
for titles that are currently available in our catalogue. If you are
interested in a title we have announced as “Coming soon,” or
you have seen newly released on one of our partner web sites*, please e-mail
us and we will inform you when the title has been catalogued so you
can purchase it in the normal way.
* There is a delay of a month or so for the master
materials to be shipped between the partners and for us to make the title
available on our catalogue.
License & Terms of Condition of Use
The data you purchase in a CD is supplied for information and personal research only. No reproduction may be made for publication without the permission of Archive CD Books Canada Inc. You may not make copies of the data. You may not publish or sell any portion of the data in printed, electronic or any other format without prior written consent. You may not advertise free lookups from the contents of the products. By purchase of this product you have not acquired title or ownership of software materials or data contained on this CD-ROM or product packaging or documentation. This license grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software and documentation. You are prohibited from copying, reproducing, translating, disassembly, recompilation or reverse engineering of any part of the software or related packaging or documentation. This license permits a single user on a single site to access the CD at any given time. (For multiple user licenses, contact Archive CD Books Canada Inc.) The software or documentation may not be loaned, rented or leased, or used for any other form of remunerated gain.
Canadian
orders are shipped by Canada post lettermail or expedited parcel. For
a limited time all orders delivered within Canada will be shipped completely
free of charge.
International orders (including to the USA) will be $5.00 per title and we will
ship by small packet, air mail.
We’re using this method of pricing our PP&S to minimize the cost to
you but it means that we may have to change these rates when there is a significant
change in our costs. Once you’ve placed an order with us however, your
shipping charge will not increase. Orders for two or more CDs outside Canada
will usually result in a rebate (depending on actual mailing costs) after your
order has been processed. Shipping rebates will be detailed on your invoice.
We do not keep a stock
of the products, so they are not made until we receive your order. We
will normally be able to dispatch your order within 4 business days and
when we do we will automatically send you an e-mail - if you gave us
a valid e-mail address. You will probably know how long it takes for
mail to reach you from the Ottawa region but if you haven’t received
your CDs, or a communication of some sort, from us within 28 days of
placing your order please contact
us by e-mail or by any other method of your choice. Depending how
you placed your order please also check your bank or credit card statement
to ensure that the payment has been accepted.
International orders are generally delivered within 15 days of our shipping
them so please allow at least 20 days from the time of order placement.
Because we only make your CDs when we receive your order we have to be aware of the remote possibility that we may be held up by our suppliers or by an equipment failure. In this unlikely event we will do our best to contact you and tell you what delay we are expecting. Please be assured we will be doing everything within our power to avoid this situation.
We will apply taxes to your order based on the delivery location as follows:
• Orders delivered within Ontario will have both Provincial (8%)and Federal
(5%) taxes added.
• Orders delivered in the "participating" Harmonized Sales Tax
provinces will have HST (13%) applied
• Orders delivered within the rest of Canada will have only the Federal
(5%) taxes applied.
• Orders delivered outside Canada (including to the USA) will be billed
tax free.
International customers please check to see if your country imposes a tax,
duty or handling charge on goods received from Canada. Any such charges will
be your responsibility.
Our on-line shopping cart will automatically apply the standard taxes and
P&P
charges. If your purchase should be exempt any of these charges please
contact us via e-mail,
by phone at (613) 692-2667, or by mail to:
Sales at Archive CD Books Canada Inc.
PO Box 11

to place your order.
Please provide identification of your exemption certificate type and number as well as your full name and address.
All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computers. They are not held in clear text on any web site and are protected by our “firewalls.” We do not keep computer records of your card number after an order has been processed.
We guarantee your
satisfaction. All of our products come with a 30 day no quibble guarantee.
If your computer is not able to display the CDs contents then please review
the "FAQ and Support" section first. If you can't find an answer there:
1. Contact us by email and explain
the problem. The CD may not be faulty and most times we can help sort out the
apparent problem.
2. If we agreed that the CD is faulty, and authorize it, simply return it in
its original packing, cross out your address, and leave our return label on
the packet and mark it "Return to Sender". There is no need to add
stamps to the packet. We will replace the faulty CD, or make a refund.
Please note that refunds will not be made if the CD is found to be in working
condition.
(Which basically means that nobody can copy it and then return it for a refund!)
